Artifact, 2 (2) {T}: Add to your mana pool one mana of any color that a land an opponent controls could produce. "What do you have that I cannot obtain?" -Mairsil, the Pretender
Illus. John Avon
10/4/2004: It only produces one mana even if the land can produce more than one.
10/4/2004: Works even if the opponent's lands are tapped. It only checks what kinds of mana can be produced, not if the abilities that produce them are usable right now.
10/4/2004: The generated mana is of the color the land would produce if tapped for mana after applying any continuous and replacement effects when determining the type of mana the land can produce.
10/4/2004: The ability can be played if the opponent has no lands that produce mana, but the effect will not be able to generate any mana.
8/1/2005: The opponent's land need not be able to produce a given color at that time. For example, Mirrodin's Core has the ability "{T}, Remove a charge counter from Mirrodin's Core: Add one mana of any color to your mana pool." If your opponent has a Mirrodin's Core in play, you can tap Fellwar Stone for any color of mana, even if Mirrodin's Core has no counters on it.
10/1/2005: Cannot generate colorless mana even if the opponent has a land which does so.
