Door of Destinies

Artifact, 4 (4)
As Door of Destinies enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.
Whenever you cast a spell of the chosen type, put a charge counter on Door of Destinies.
Creatures you control of the chosen type get +1/+1 for each charge counter on Door of Destinies.
1
Illus. Larry MacDougall

Gatherer Card Rulings [Nov 2009]

  • 4/1/2008: If you cast a creature spell of the chosen type, Door of Destinies will get a charge counter before the creature enters the battlefield. The creature will enter the battlefield with the additional boost to its power and toughness.

Demigod of Revenge

Creature - Spirit Avatar 5/4, {B/R}{B/R}{B/R}{B/R}{B/R} (5)
Flying, haste
When you cast Demigod of Revenge, return all cards named Demigod of Revenge from your graveyard to the battlefield.
1
Illus. Izzy

Gatherer Card Rulings [Nov 2009]

  • 5/1/2008: This ability triggers when you cast Demigod of Revenge as a spell. It won't trigger if Demigod of Revenge is put directly onto the battlefield.
  • 5/1/2008: The triggered ability goes on the stack on top of the Demigod of Revenge spell. By the time the Demigod of Revenge spell resolves, all the Demigods that were in your graveyard will be on the battlefield already.
  • 5/1/2008: If Demigod of Revenge is countered *before* its triggered ability resolves, the ability will still resolve. In fact, it will return that Demigod of Revenge from your graveyard to the battlefield, as well as any others.

Ajani Vengeant

Planeswalker - Ajani 3/, 2RW (4)
+1: Target permanent doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.
-2: Ajani Vengeant deals 3 damage to target creature or player and you gain 3 life.
-7: Destroy all lands target player controls.

Illus. Jason Chan

Gatherer Card Rulings [Nov 2009]

  • 10/1/2008: You may target any permanent with Ajani Vengeant's first ability. It doesn't have to be tapped.
  • 10/1/2008: The first ability tracks the permanent, but not its controller. If the permanent changes controllers before its first controller's next untap step has come around, then it won't untap during its new controller's next untap step.
  • 10/1/2008: If two or more planeswalkers on the battlefield share a planeswalker subtype, all are put into their owners' graveyards. This means that if both Ajani Vengeant and the _Lorwyn_ card Ajani Goldmane are on the battlefield, both are put into their owners' graveyards.

  • 2/1/2009: This ability is not optional. You must discard your entire hand no matter how many creatures your opponents control.
  • 2/1/2009: After you discard your hand and the number of creatures each opponent must sacrifice has been determined, each opponent in turn order, starting with the player whose turn it is if that player is your opponent, chooses which creatures he or she will sacrifice, then all the chosen creatures are all sacrificed at the same time.

1
Illus. Jean-Sébastien Rossbach

Gatherer Card Rulings [Nov 2009]

  • 5/1/2009: Putting a token creature with devour onto the battlefield works the same as putting any other creature with devour onto the battlefield. The token may devour Dragon Broodmother itself!
  • 5/1/2009: In a Two-Headed Giant game, Dragon Broodmother's second ability triggers only once at the beginning of each team's upkeep, not once for each player. You'll get one Dragon token at the beginning of your team's upkeep and one Dragon token at the beginning of the opposing team's upkeep.

  • 7/15/2006: You may pay the alternative cost rather than the card's mana cost. Any additional costs are paid as normal.
