- You can sacrifice it for mana between when damage is assigned in combat and when the damage is dealt. If you do so, any damage that would be dealt to it never becomes dealt. - If the Coffin Queen leaves play or you lose control of it or it becomes untapped, and the triggered ability resolves before the creature comes into play, then the creature will not be removed from the game this way. [D'Angelo 2001/05/19]
