• You decide whether or not to skip your draw step during resolution of the triggered ability. [D'Angelo 1999/08/01]
• You get the 2 life when you choose to skip your draw step. You can do this even if you are scheduled to skip this step due to some other effect. If the draw step gets skipped due to some other effect, you still keep the life, and you are not forced to skip your draw step in any future turn due to this card. [D'Angelo 1999/10/05]
• Note that using this spell causes you to skip your draw step entirely, so it cannot be used in combination with draw step effects like Island Sanctuary or Howling Mine. [bethmo 1994/08/10]
• It can be used with Necropotence since this is used before the draw step and Necropotence happens right as the draw step would start. [WotC Rules Team 1996/07/29]
• Extended tournaments (see Rule 803) have banned this card since 1999/10/01.
