1. Royal Assassin

Creature — Human Assassin 1/1 1BB (3) Junior Series (Special)
{T}: Destroy target tapped creature.
  • If the creature is no longer tapped (it untaps by Twiddle or other effect) when the Assassin is resolved, then the ability is countered. [D'Angelo 2000/03/03]
  • You can target creatures you control. [bethmo 1994/05/01]
  • Cannot target itself because you choose the target at the same time you are tapping him. At that time he is not yet tapped. [D'Angelo 1995/07/18]
  • Extended tournaments (see Rule 803) banned this card from 1999/10/01 to 2005/08/20 because it was not in a legal set.
  • Note - This card was of creature type "Assassin" and not "Human Assassin" until Ninth Edition and Oracle 2005/08/01.

2. Sakura-Tribe Elder

Creature - Snake Shaman 1/1 1G (2) Junior Series (Special)
Sacrifice Sakura-Tribe Elder: Search your library for a basic land card, put that card into play tapped, then shuffle your library.
  • You look in your library but are not required to find a basic land card even if you have one. See Rule G19.4. [D'Angelo 2005/12/01]

3. Shard Phoenix

Creature - Phoenix 2/2 4R (5) Junior Series (Special)
Flying (This creature can’t be blocked except by creatures with flying.)
Sacrifice Shard Phoenix: Shard Phoenix deals 2 damage to each creature without flying.
{R}{R}{R}: Return Shard Phoenix from your graveyard to your hand. Play this ability only during your upkeep.

4. Slith Firewalker

Creature - Slith 1/1 RR (2) Junior Series (Special)
Haste
Whenever Slith Firewalker deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it.

5. Soltari Priest

Creature — Soltari Cleric 2/1 WW (2) Junior Series (Special)
Protection from red
Shadow (This creature can block or be blocked by only creatures with shadow.)

6. Whirling Dervish

Creature — Human Monk 1/1 GG (2) Junior Series (Special)
Protection from black
At end of turn, if Whirling Dervish dealt damage to an opponent this turn, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
  • If it damages the opponent multiple times in a turn, it gets only one +1/+1 counter at end of turn. [D'Angelo 2001/06/22]
